ʕ ·ᴥ· ʔ What materials do you use?  

 

Almost all Jamijoux jewelry is made with stainless steel & without nickel. Stainless steel is a metal with a very high resistance to corrosion, this means it will not rust! All earrings are hypoallergenic ( free of nickel ) So it's very suitable for sensitive skin/ears! You can see if an item is stainless steel in our product descriptions, where we provide more information about the materials and sizing.

 

Our hoodies & sweatshirts are made of a 50/50 cotton & polyester blend. They have a soft fleece inside to keep you warm all year round! Because of the blend the items can shrink slightly after the first couple washes. So make sure to size up if you’re going for an oversized look!

 

 

ʕ ·ᴥ· ʔ I want to order a sweater but I don't know my size

 

For that we’ve provided a size chart! Measure one of your favourite items and convert it with the chart to find your perfect size.

 

 

ʕ ·ᴥ· ʔ Can i order a custom embroidery design?

 

Yes for sure! I love making custom logo's, line art or any other ideas you might have! While i have a custom design product listed on my site, it's best to send me a message before through Instagram! That way we can discuss all your wishes and make the perfect product!

 

 

ʕ ·ᴥ· ʔ Why does the processing time take so long?

 

I, the owner of JAMIJOUX am still a full time film student. Currently only having time  to full fill the orders in the evenings & weekends. Since all JAMIJOUX items are fully handcrafted this can take quite a while. After the order is finished the packing process starts with writing cards and a personal gift bag. The orders get worked off order date, so if we have lots of orders it can take an extra while. Currently i am unable to have '' next day shipping'' so if that's what you're looking for, please don't choose a handmade business! 

 

ʕ ·ᴥ· ʔ Is your jewelry waterproof?

 

Yes! Our jewelry is fully waterproof. However stainless steel can be affected by other chemicals like the soap you use in the shower, perfume, hairspray or even sweat! So to keep your jewelry nice and shiny you have to treat them with care for a long lasting wear.  ( For more info check out our Jewelry Care Guide! ) 

 

 

ʕ ·ᴥ· ʔ Is Jamijoux a sustainable brand?

 

We try to be as sustainable as we can! Luckily stainless steel has proven to be extremely environmentally friendly, because it is 100 percent recyclable! We also prevent waste by having a ''made to order'' system. Nothing is left over since we start creating the products after the order is placed!

 

 

ʕ ·ᴥ· ʔ Can I swim with my jewelry?

 

Since our jewelry is waterproof you might had the idea to keep them on while visiting a pool. Please do not go swimming with our jewelry! The chlorine in the water is a big enemy of stainless steel and can affect the lifespan of our items.

 

 

ʕ ·ᴥ· ʔ What does JAMIJOUX mean?

 

My own name is Jamie and I wanted to incorporate that into my brand. I chose to mix it with the french word for jewelry ( Bijoux ) since I have always loved the french language! That's how the name Jamijoux was born.

 

 

ʕ ·ᴥ· ʔ Are your items handmade and do you have a stock?

 

Almost all Jamijoux items are handcrafted from separate materials, We don’t have a stock which means we start creating your items once we receive your order. We chose a made to order system so all items are customizable. Besides that all rings & bracelets are always custom made to your size, for a perfect fit!

For clothing: We try to keep as much blanks in stock as possible, but it gets hard to predict. If your preferred size or color is out of stock it’ll have to be ordered which can take up to 1,5 weeks. Of course this will be communicated before payment, so you don’t have any unnecessary surprises.

 

 

ʕ ·ᴥ· ʔ I want to order a ring but I don't know my ring size

ʕ ·ᴥ· ʔ Are the beads waterproof?

 

No, while we have very high quality beads that can last up to a long time with good care they are not waterproof. The beads are made from glass with a colored coating. This coating can wear out through friction, sweat and water can speed up this process. All the details on our beaded items ( Lock, extender chain etc ) are stainless steel and fully waterproof!
